Spring has sprung and with Father’s Day and Sample Food Festival on this weekend there are plenty of ways to celebrate – here’s our top 5 !
This Father’s Day take dad to celebrate at Stone & Wood Brewery where you can drop in for a tasting paddle and try their latest release “Forefathers” – you can find them at 4 Boronia Place, Byron Bay. Source some fresh seafood from The Bay Seafood shop in Byron and have a barbie overlooking the waves at Wategos or The Pass (both free with the best view in town). For dad’s that like to eat good food get them to SAMPLE Festival the popular annual foodie fest showcasing the regions best culinary talent, produce and all things food and drink related. Held in the Bangalow showgrounds, the event brings foodies from far and wide (last year saw crowds of up to 17,000) where attendees have the opportunity to “sample” the best food and beverage via $5 and $10 tasting plates and the region’s top restaurants compete for the coveted “Gold Fork” awards. SAMPLE kicks off on Saturday, the 2nd of Sept from 8 am – 4 pm. See you there!
