Craving Tacos? Here are 5 places you should try…

1 Chihuahua Taqueria
Chihuahua Taqueria – this hole in the wall Burrito and Taco bar serves up Mexican eats fast. The ingredients are fresh, the tacos (very good) and at a price point that won’t break the budget. Wash them down with a drink from this little Taqueria’s awesome drinks list. A local favourite.
2 Miss Margarita
Miss Margarita plates up authentic Mexican tacos best served with one of their excellent Margaritas or local craft beer should that be more to your liking. One of the more popular venues in town for group dinners it gets very busy so book ahead and if it’s warm, sit outdoors.
3 The Bolthole
The Bolthole’s signature smoked meats are the hero in these super tasty morsels coupled with produce sourced locally and 100% organic where possible. Delicious, easy eats and the location is spot-on for a post-beach chow down and the best Tequila in town.
Chupacabra, located a few minutes drive out of town in Suffolk Park is a Mexican eatery with some serious talent behind it. This whitewashed local favourite punches far above its weight in terms of quality menu offerings. This is about as close as you will get to authentic Mexican cuisine with chef White plating up coastal inspired, regional food (think Yucatan Peninsula where White spent considerable time learning the art of hand rolling tortilla). The drinks menu is equally impressive. Just go there…
5 Guzman Y Gomez
Popular Mexican food and chain restaurant serving up tacos fast and easy. Go the fresh barramundi, cheap and cheerful. Great for groups. For non-foodie types wanting simple, tasty tacos without the fanfare.
