With Byron Bay’s reputation as a foodie destination attracting talented chefs from around the country, there seems to be a new eatery popping up every couple of weeks. Already established with popular 100 Mile Table, co-owners Sarah and Jeremy have recently opened DUK. The Chinese Style eatery in the centre of town serves up Chinese-style roast meats and greens over bowls of fluffy rice seven nights a week.
The eating house itself seats 40 with the menu staying true to the kind of Chinatown classics we crave in Byron. Think Roast Duck and Tofu, Char Siu, Soy Chicken and crisp-skinned Pork (drool). Local businesses feature on the drinks list with our favourite Jilly Wines making an appearance, the multi-award winning and delicious Stone & Wood beer is available and an appearance from old mates The Bucha of Byron’s Kombucha is a welcome addition. With so many locals and visitors wanting this type of easy, tasty food with an Asian bent we can only imagine how popular DUK will be through Byron’s peak season. You can view Duk’s full menu here
